Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar spoke at the PDP National convention happening at the Eagles square, Abuja. Atiku in his speech said Nigeria is more divided and acrimonious than it has ever been since the civil war. Chief Olisa Metuh, former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was prevented from  going into the state box of the Eagle Square, Abuja, venue of the party’s convention. After exchanging pleasantries with some people, Metuh headed towards the state box  but the security personnel stopped him. A shouting match ensued but the operatives stood their ground, forcing the former image  maker of the opposition to step back.  He later joined delegates from Anambra state. Singer Mr Eazi has had an interesting 2017 spending most of it solidifying his status as a revolutionary artiste in the industry and defending his relationship. In a chat with  HIPTV , Mr Eazi said he is still loved despite being heavily criticised all year round particularly for his claim of pioneering the infusion of Ghanaian lingo in lyrics. An Abuja federal high court has ordered that 16 frozen bank accounts belonging to ex-first lady Patience Jonathan be unfrozen. The accounts were frozen on account of a suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The anti-graft agency was given 90 days to carry out its investigation on the said accounts. Five of the frozen accounts are domiciled in Skye Bank Plc, seven in Diamond Bank Plc and the remaining four accounts are with Union Bank Plc, First Bank Plc, Ecobank and Zenith Bank Plc. However, the court reversed the order on grounds of an application filed by Mike Ozekhome, counsel to Jonathan, stating that the interim forfeiture of the accounts had lapsed. Richard Dauda, EFCC lawyer, had in reaction to the application, prayed the court for an extension of the forfeiture order against funds in the 16 bank accounts. Rochas Okorocha, governor of Imo state, has appointed his sister, Ogechi Ololo (nee Okorocha), commissioner for happiness and couples’ fulfillment. She was sworn-in alongside 27 new commissioners and 27 transition committee chairmen for the local government councils in the state. Ololo was the 2015 candidate for the Owerri federal constituency seat from the All Progressives Congress and was one-time deputy chief of staff and special adviser on domestic matters.
