Lead singer of The Temptations, Dennis Edwards has die. He died yesterday February 2nd in a Chicago hospital, just a day before his 75th birthday, after suffering a stroke. According to report he had been battling with meningitis and pneumonia before his death. The American singer was born in Fairfield, Alabama and began singing as a toddler in his father's church. He joined the Temptations in 1968 and sang with the group from 1968 to 1976, 1980 to 1984 and 1987 to 1989. In the mid-1980s, he attempted a solo career, scoring a hit in 1984 with "Don't Look Any Further" In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the group.

Ojuolape,  wife of music producer,  Cobhams Asuquo ,  gave an insight into the early days of their relationship. Apparently Cobhams at the BBN wonderland event which took place last week, she narrates  how they met, started dating and then got married in December 2010 but according to Ojuolape, he forgot to disclose how he went on to date someone else when she initially turned him down because she was quite young then. According to her, ' with my Blood pressure at such a dangerously low level, If not for all the delays, I would have gotten into the 3rd mainland traffic would surely have died'. Last week Friday, My family and I went to Ikoyi Club at around 9am for the National ID card exercise which they had so thoughtfully organised for their members & on getting there, the card processing had not started so we crossed over to the pool to swim for 2hours after which we went back for the processing. After about 5 hours, we were done & we decided to order dinner.  My dad, bro and I orded the special mixed grill, while my mum ordered Amala which was taking too long to arrive only to find out after 30mins that the person to make it was too busy, so grudgingly she had to order the mixed grill as well.

An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday commenced the trial of a 35-year-old man, Ugochukwu Onyebuchi, alleged to have sexually assaulted his friend’s daughter. Onyebuchi, a trader, residing at No. 14, Olawale St., Egbeda, near Lagos, however, pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault.  The Prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, told court that the accused committed the offence on Jan. 28 at No. 9, Atitebi St., Ayobo in Agege, near Lagos. Narrating what transpired, Ogu said that the accused went to visit his friend (the complainant) at home but did not meet him. He said that Onyebuchi met his friend’s wife and children at home and decided to wait to see his friend. “The accused sent two of his friend’s children to buy biscuit while their mother was washing clothes at the back yard,” the prosecutor said. Justice Abubakar Sadiq, who gave the order after the convict pleaded guilty on a two-count charge, ordered that the convict should be given six strokes of the cane. The President made the call while presenting Nigeria’s position in favour of the Report on the establishment of a Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA) and related issues presented by President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger Republic, during the 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  According to him,  “It is Nigeria’s position that as African leaders and principal architects of our Union, we must now speed up action to conclude the negotiations and establish the CFTA.”  Noting that the continent has missed the timeline set by the African Union (AU) in January 2012 to establish the CFTA in 2017, he said African leaders still had the opportunity to set it up by March 2018.  Justifying Nigeria’s vote for the CFTA, the President said: “In a rapidly changing global economy, with much uncertainty, we believe that the establishment of a CFTA would provide Africa with tremendous opportunity to achieve significant growth driven
