Davido wins MTV EMA Best African Act 2017

Nigerian music star, Davido, who is currently in Angola for a concert, won MTV Europe Music Awards Best African Act 2017. The singer won the award singers like Wizkid and Nasty C as well as South Africa’s – Babes Wodumo , Angola’s – C4 Pedro and Kenya’s Nyashinksi were contending for. The singer who dedicated the award to his late mum, wrote on Instagram; “I’M ON FiAAAAAAA!!  🔥  Thank you everybody. THIS IS FOR YOU MOM!  ❤️   ❤️ ❤️   # 30BG ”

Police Reportedly Say Davido Not Yet Free And Investigations Over Tagbo Umeike's Death Still On-going

The claim by Davido was captured in messages posted via one of his social media handles on Thursday to offer thanks to everyone who prayed for him while saying he has forgiven every single person, media house or blog that pointed an accusing finger at him upon the demise of Tagbo. He wrote: “Any media house, blog or person that said false things about me or accused me of what I don’t know I sincerely forgive you… and God bless you. We move on! LET’S ALL BE BETTER! Police Say Mr Tagbo Emeike Died From Suffocation, Re-Invite Singer Davido For Questioning

Acting Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal stated this at a briefing on Wednesday afternoon, where he announced that Davido has been re-invited for questioning. According to Edgal, the autopsy report revealed that Tagbo died from suffocation, adding that he was abandoned in his car at the hospital by Davido’s driver and two of his friends. Edgal said Davido has been reinvited for questioning because he lied that he only knew of Tagbo’s demise while he was at DNA night club, in Victoria Island, a claim that has been found to be untrue. The toxicology tests detected alcohol (Bacardi 151, 75.5% Alcohol) and topiramate, a medication for epilepsy and/or migraines in a man’s system, in Tagbo Umeike.’ Tagbo’s blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) was at 0.112, higher than the 0.08 legal limit for normal human being state, the coroner’s office stated. While his family claims that Tagbo “didn’t have a prescription for any type of topiramate medication”, the coroner’s office stated that the amount of drug in Tagbos’ system was in the “therapeutic range. A statement by the coroner’s office said, “Alcohol and topiramate are synergistic. When combined, the effect of either or both drugs is enhanced.
