Speaking with journalists on Friday in Kaduna, Makarfi said the anti-corruption efforts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, will be fully appraised “when they leave office”. He said: “On the issue of corruption, we will be able to assess the APC government when they leave office. By 2019, when we take over, we are not going to be vindictive. But the truth will prevail. “Who told you there are no series of petitions against them as they are in office right now? When they leave office, we will see what will come up. We will know whether corruption is something limited to one political party. We are not doing justice to the fight against corruption when we try to politicise it.” “Take a look at the private sector, those the EFCC has charged to court, no politician has been tried or taken to court for anything near that. If you try to just narrow corruption to only politicians from the opposition parties, we are undermining the fight against corruption. We sho

In a new article titled, "Wanted: A Restructuring of Minds", Special Adviser to President Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, wondered what has become of us as a people morally. Read the interesting article below Hearing some Nigerians speak (whether based at home or in the Diaspora) you discern that they are "in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity." They spew out things that give them away as "whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones." What happened to grace? Where did decency disappear to? Are words not to be seasoned with salt again? What has happened to us as a people? The more rotten, the better, it seems. The fouler and odoriferous the cesspit, the more attractive, followed by applause. That seems to be the philosophy of some people today, and it doesn't matter who they are. High or low. The Minister stated this at the 4th Annual Conference of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) in Kano on Wednesday, noting that pulling Nigeria out of recession was not by accident. "Taking Nigeria out of recession did not happen by accident. It is the culmination of months of hard work by the Administration and fidelity to its well-articulated economic policies, especially the Strategic Implementation Economic Recovery (2016) and the Growth Plan (ERGP) that was launched on 5th April, 2017," he said.
