Ramsey Noah Talks Why He Shields His Family From The Social Media

Tell us about your background I was born in Costain, Lagos, where I began my early life before moving to Aguda, Surulere. I lived with my mother and half-brother. My father was never in the picture. I was very playful and I must admit, it’s rubbing off on my kids, and I’m not liking it very much. I was also very artistically inclined. I was fascinated by comic books and drawings, although I wasn’t exactly great at that. My elementary education was at Atara Primary School, Orile Iganmu, Lagos, and for my post-elementary education, I attended Community Grammar School, Surulere. I also got a Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. Interestingly, my life has been a tale of grace to grass to grace. I was born with a silver spoon but shortly after, everything changed and our wealth went to zero. This made me understand the two sides of life; living a life of plenty and a life of not even having enough to eat. As rough as the experience might have seemed, it actually help...

A Review Of Teddy-A's Single Release Party For " Down" By Oyinbra Fegba

Image
25th of May was a very good day for the Badman himself, Teddy A, as he not only dropped his highly anticipated first single after Big Brother Naija (BBA) #Down, but he also had a single release party that was a very huge success.  The event which was held at Tilt Terrace, Lekki, started a little late, but Dee One, who was also the MC /Anchor was there to keep the mood light and also make people laugh. I think he did a good job. Also, there was a DJ on ground who I later learned is the producer behind Teddy's #Down.  The ambience of the place was cozy, and guests enjoyed the cool atmosphere. Some of the ex-housemates who were present to celebrate with Teddy A include Bam Bam, Cee C, Leo DaSilva, Alex, Tobi, Anto, Ifu Enada, Vandora, Khloe just to mention a few. K-Brule opened the show by being the first act to perform. There were a host of others too including Rico Swavey, Omasan just to mention a few. Ebuka Obi Uchendu and The DMW crew were also around to suppor...

Over 38 women accuse US director James Toback of sexual harassment

Image
The Hollywood sexual abuse scandal widened Monday after 38 women were reported to have accused US film director James Toback of unwanted sexual encounters over a period of decades. Toback reeled them in with boasts about his movie career and connections and with claims he could make them a star, according to their accounts to the Los Angeles Times. But in meetings framed as interviews or auditions, he allegedly would turn disturbingly personal, with questions veering to masturbation and pubic hair, the Times said. “He told me he’d love nothing more than to masturbate while looking into my eyes,” Louise Post, who met Toback in 1987 while attending Barnard College, told the Times. “Going to his apartment has been the source of shame for the past 30 years, that I allowed myself to be so gullible,” said Post, who is now a guitarist and singer for Veruca Salt, an indie rock band. Toback denied the allegations, telling the Times he had never met the women or if he did it “was...

Singer, Abiye David Jumbo popularly known as Mr. 2Kay was robbed at gun point in his hotel room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The incident happened at about 11pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017, during the Buckwyld and Breathless concert where he also performed. The robbers, 4 in number, gained access into Mr. 2Kay’s room after he mistook one of them for room service. They forced their way into his room and waved a gun with threats to shoot him if he made a noise.  Mr. 2Kay, who was in the room with a friend, struggled with one of the robbers, as the others punched and hit him with a gun, repeatedly warning that they will shoot if he doesn’t calm down. One of the robbers led and locked 2Kay’s friend in the bathroom, while the others tied the singer’s arms, legs and mouth and took his valuables including jewelry, clothes, perfumes, phones, and money.
