A secondary school teacher in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, Enugu State has allegedly killed his 83-year-old uncle over land disputes : The teacher, identified as Daniel Ekemezie (aka Bakassi), father of two, who teaches Mathematics at Ukpata Community Secondary School in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area was alleged to have gone to the house of his uncle, Patrick Odoh, at about 8pm on that fateful day on the pretext that he wanted to discuss with him, only to tie his mouth with cloth and dragged him to Ofiakputu forest where he tied him to a tree for five days till he died. Michael A Jones pleaded guilty in Wyandotte County District Court last Friday, March 31, to one count of first-degree murder over the death of child Adrian Jones. The boy’s remains were found in a barn at a home rented by Jones and his wife, 31 year old Heather Jones..
