 Justice Williams Olamide of the Ondo state High Court in Akure, the state capital, has sentenced to life imprisonment, seven men found guilty of kidnapping former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Chief Olu Falae. Falae was abducted on September 21st  2015 by suspected Fulani herdsmen at his farm in Ilado village in the state  Justice Olamide delieverd judgement today April 10th.

A High Court in Benin, Edo State, has sentenced three persons to six years imprisonment for trafficking two under-aged girls for prostitution. Lotachukwu Umeme, who was holding a Cote d’ lvoire International passport bearing the name Grou Bi Clauvis, was arrested while attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to Indonesia. After he tested positive for narcotic ingestion, 89 wraps of narcotics found to be methamphetamine weighing 1.205 kilogrammes were recovered from him, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency said in a statement on Saturday. In his statement, according to the NDLEA, the suspect said he was offered the sum of $5,000 to smuggle drugs to Indonesia. “I am the only son of my parents. I wanted to invest the money in my clothes business and also commence preparation for my marriage in a bid to settle down,” Mr. Umeme said. It was reported by Festaconline, that the whole matter escalated when the the young man Bayode suddenly laid down on the floor..his friends were with him at the time.  They tried to find out what the problem was with him, but suddenly he stood up and started running towards the bridge. His friends chased after him but they couldn't catch him before he jumped into the Canal. Before this sad event took place, it had been speculated by some individuals that Bayode might have had some serious mental issues. Nigerian orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Donald Okechukwu Ozumba has been arrested by McKinney Police Department, Texas on suspicion that he sexually assaulted two female patients while they were under his care. The 44- year -old , Dr. faces two charges of sexual assault, according to court records. McKinney Police Dept, arrested him Friday, March 31, and booked him at the Collin County Jail, where his bail was set at $50,000. According to Dallas News, one of the women went to his office last week to be treated for a sports injury. She told police that the doctor exposed half of her genitals to check for internal fluid and told her he needed to rub in the medication he had injected under her left hip.
