The General Overseer Worldwide of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RRCG, Pastor Adeboye, says longevity is a good thing but that for him, he does not want to live up to 120 years.  The clergyman who turned 75 in March this year, said this while delivering his sermon at the birthday service for Pastor Yerima El-Samaila of the Faith Foundation Church, who turned 70 years on Monday, September 4th.  “It is not how long you live but how well you spend your life,  I don’t want to be 120 years old. Longevity is good but there is a limit. People don’t want to die because they don’t know where they are going; I know where I am going. I have seen heaven, I have seen my house in heaven, I know what is waiting for me there, heaven is beautiful, and I can’t wait to go there. I want to finish what I have to do here and finish it well, any of us can go at any moment we have to get ready for home,” he said

The Uruguayan Interior Ministry in a statement confirms that Rocco Morabito described by authorities as a prominent member of the Ndrangheta, or Calabrian Mafia, a convicted drug kingpin in the Italian mafia has been arrested after being on the run for over 20 years. He's been wanted since 1994. He was convicted in absentia for drug trafficking and organized-crime activities in Italy, and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Italian authorities said that Morabito had been responsible for shipping drugs into Italy and arranging distribution in Milan. Morabito was arrested on Friday in a hotel in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo. Italian police said the arrest followed 'months of international cooperation and intelligence activity'.   Uruguayan authorities said some months ago Morabito tried to enroll his daughter in a local school using his real name, and his fingerprints were confirmed by Italian authorities. Joseph Odok, a lawyer and a lecturer in the University of Calabar was attacked on Monday, September 4, 2017 by suspected cult boys in Calabar, Cross River state capital. He was cut with machete and other weapons during the attack and was left seriously wounded by the hoodlums.  He is being currently treated at an undisclosed hospital in Calabar.  Before the attack, his last post on Facebook reads, 'People keep talking of Senator Gershom Bassey moving so many motions. According to TMZ report, Multiple sources tell us Wayne was hospitalized Sunday in Chicago. He was rushed to Northwestern Memorial, where we’re told he suffered yet another seizure. Our sources say his team tried to have him discharged late Sunday afternoon so he could make it to his Vegas show. However, doctors advised against the discharge, saying he should be grounded for a few days. Wayne has suffered seizures while flying before, and the doctors felt it was too risky. He very well may still be at the hospital. Wayne is supposed to perform at Drais Beachclub in Vegas at midnight alongside Rae Sremmurd, although it’s unclear if he’s still planning to show as of this writing. Seizures have plagued Wayne for years. Just last year he had to cancel an appearance in Vegas because of his epilepsy.

The Super Eagles on Monday played a 1-1 draw with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at the Stade Omnispirts Ahmadu Ahidjo in Yaounde. According to English newspaper the Mirror, the Everton striker was stopped by police near his home in Chesire, England after a night out on Thursday. The actor and director shares the news on his Facebook page Thursday in which he announced he plans to give $1 million to help those in need in Houston. The actor also used the video to defend pastor Joel Osteen who has come under fire for not opening up his megachurch sooner to those in need of shelter. And to show his support for Osteen, he said he's giving $250,000 of the one million to the Lakewood evangelist. 'Let me tell you something - Joel and Victoria are amazing people,' Perry said.
