There is No Fire Incident at CBN Head Office  Reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) head office building is on fire are false.   Passersby who saw a pall of exhaust from the generator house far away from the building apparently mistook the exhaust for fire smoke.   The CBN maintains a total security system that triggers safety alarms in the presence of smoke and so all fire engines and personnel received the alert only to discover that it was an unusual pall of exhaust.   The affected generator has been rested and normal work has been uninterrupted, while the engineers are working to rectify the issues with the generator.   We hereby assure the general public that there has been no fire at our building.   Isaac Okorafor Ag. Saudi state media said on Wednesday that Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia's main sovereign wealth fund, had signed a deal with AMC Entertainment Holdings to operate cinemas in the kingdom. The two sides are expected to establish up to 40 theatres in 15 Saudi cities over the next five years, state news agency SPA reported. Further ahead, between 50 and 100 cinemas will be set up in about 25 Saudi cities by 2030, it added. The first cinema will open in Riyadh on April 18, according to a statement by the information ministry's Centre for International Communication. It will reportedly be located in the capital's King Abdullah Financial District, in a site originally intended to be a symphony concert hall. The announcement comes after the Saudi government said in December 2017 that it would lift a 35-year ban on cinemas and allow films to be screened as early as next year. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was once the heir apparent to his father’s regime but is now wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity during his father's brutal efforts to put down the 2011 rebellion against his rule. His candidacy was announced by officials in the Libyan Popular Front party during a news conference in Tunis on Monday. Khaled Guel told al-Araby al-Jadeed, a pan-Arab newspaper, that Libya needed to get past recent divisions."The humanitarian situation is deteriorating and the path forward is unclear. Therefore many Libyans now believe that the only way to save the country is through Saif al-Islam," he said.
