A teacher of Colombian origin was arrested last year for sending suggestive photos to her students and threatening to make them fail if they refused to have sex with her. The woman, identified simply as Yokasta M. was arrested after a father of one of the students saw photos of the teacher on his son’s phone and reported to the relevant  authorities. This was in 2016. Soon after she was exposed, her husband filed for divorce. The case was highly sensational last year and made news headlines. It was reported that the teacher selected the boys, all less than 17 years of age, based on their appearance. An investigation has been ongoing since and a recent report from Channel 4 of Nicaragua says she has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. A lot of people are questioning the sentence, saying 40 years is too long a time for the crime she committed.  (MTONews)

It was a tale of pity for a 15-year old housemaid who was abducted, drugged by two men and kept in captivity for five days. The incident happened at Isalawori Street in Ikeja where the house maid lived with her madam, Alhaja Ayeleru Oluwatoyin. P.M.EXPRESS gathered that apart from the abduction and drugging of the victim, the suspects Ephriam Kelechi, 29 and Marvelous Ibegbulam, 32 turned her into a sort of sex slave and were having sex with her in turns in their hideout at the Agege Area of Lagos. According to the victim, the suspects lured her into their trap under the false pretence of getting her another job that will fetch her more money. She agreed and followed them late in the evening to a place in Agege without informing her madam. She narrated that when they got there, she was offered soft drinks which she drank and became unconscious. The Tulsa County jury found both guilty of child neglect. Investigators said the two neglected their twin baby girls so horrifically that they labeled it the worst case of child neglect they’ve ever seen, which included starvation and bed sores. The home also contained large amounts of cat feces and maggots. ADA Kali Strain will take the maternal grandparents, John and Cathey Miller, to trial in Rogers County next April for their part in enabling child abuse and child neglect. The 8-month-old girls weighed only eight pounds each. A doctor testified they’re making excellent progress since being placed in protective custody. Pope Francis was offered a Lamborghini Huracan on Wednesday but the Vatican said there was no future as a popemobile for the Italian supercar. Pope Francis was given a specially prepared Huracan model, and the unusual gift was presented to the pope at the Vatican by the top management of Lamborghini, which is part of Germany’s Volkswagen Group. The Huracan, which has a top speed of more than 300 km per hour and has a starting price in Italy of 185,000 euros ($219,000), will instead be auctioned for charity, a statement said. Proceeds will go to a Catholic charity seeking to return Christian exiles to Iraq, to another one helping victims of the sex trade in Italy and to two Italian charities that operate in Africa.  NAN

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Pastor Agboli stated that private jets are so expensive that no amount of tithes and offering can buy them. The spouse of the General Overseer of The Victorious Army Ministries International in Lagos, Pastor (Mrs.) Blessing Agboli, has debunked the claims that most church leaders with private jets acquired them using the tithes and offerings gathered from their members. In her own words,  “Offerings cannot buy private jets. You cannot just park a jet without making a business out of it. Owning a private jet is not a sin and those who have them should never be apologetic. I don’t think offerings can buy jets.  Kenyan mother who gave birth to an extremely rare naturally-conceived quintuplets has lost all five babies. The 30-year old mother, who did not know she was carrying five babies went into labour on Sunday and gave birth to two babies at home, who both died, before being transferred to the Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital. Nurse Manager Florence Ogero said a third baby died that night, due to being underweight and suffering a condition caused by low levels of blood platelets.  “The other one had severe pneumonia and from all those birth-related complications, these babies have succumbed. It was a premature delivery and the mother did not attend antenatal clinic. The multiple deliveries were diagnosed upon delivery so there was no anticipation.
