Woman arrested for kidnapping a two-year-old girl in Lagos as a result of loneliness and needed someone to play with.
A 35-year-old Jumoke Adesida, a resident of Odo-Kekere village in Ogun State, allegedly stole 2-year-old  child named Rokibat Raji on June 22 at her mother's shop, which is located at 12, Kazeem Adeboye Street, Jerry Farm, Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos.
According to police report;  the victim’s mother, Aminat Abidoye, 38, had reported the disappearance of her child at Shagamu-Road Division, prompting the state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, to direct the Anti-Kidnapping unit to handle the matter.
He said: "Their efforts paid off as the missing child was traced to Jumoke Adesida, 35, in Odo-Kekere Village, Ogun State. During interrogation, Adesida confessed to the crime. She explained that she needed the child to play with as her husband has taken her only child away from her.
"The suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded."

Gov Wike Offers Young Musician Nengi Jaja 40million Scholarship

The scholarship worth N40million will cover the education of Master Jaja from Secondary School up to University Level. Governor Wike announced the Scholarship on Sunday at the State Ecumenical Centre in Port Harcourt during the Thanksgiving Service in honour of Prince Uche Secondus where the young musician performed soul lifting songs. The governor directed the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Province 5 to open an account for the musician in laision with his family for the purpose of his training. He urged the church to closely monitor and guard the young musician to ensure that he fulfils his destiny.

The development came exactly a week after the two top government officials engaged in an altercation at the same venue. Oyo-Ita, on arrival at the Council Chambers, venue of the meeting went straight to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and greeted him. She was still discussing with Osinbajo when Kyari arrived.
