Chimamanda Adichie Says Melania Trump Is RACIST

Nigerian writer  Adichie made the statement in an interview with international magazine, Esquire UK where she talked about her stance on feminism, Melania Trump’s visit to Africa and racism. She was  asked if  Melania Trump  racist, she answered in the positive with reference to Melania’s recent visit to Africa. She said, “Had you asked me this question yesterday, I would have said ‘yes’ and my evidence would be that she supported her husband when he was being incredibly racist to Barack Obama.But I just watched an interview that she gave and I was just appalled by it. She sort of stepped out of a colonial 1750 guidebook about how to be in Africa. There’s a pith helmet and then I am thinking maybe this is supposed to be ironic? Maybe it is a critique of colonialism. She really thought this is what you do when you go to Africa and it says something about someone who is so removed from reality,” Adichie said. Senator Ngige to Oshiomhole 'I’m not afraid of suspension.”

The dramas in the APC amp is not ending any time soon. APC senator told journalists in Abuja today, that he is not afraid of suspension from the party. After Oshiomhole  earlier written to Ngige asking him to inaugurate all board members appointed under his Ministry but Ngige replied, saying he had inaugurated three boards in the ministry but wasn't in a hurry to inaugurate that of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) because of an alleged N40 billion corruption scandal by the former board. Addressing journalists in Abuja on Monday, Oshiomhole then threatened To Expel Labour Minster Ngige From APC if he fails to constitute and inaugurate the said board. Asked by journalists on Wednesday if he would comply to avoid the hammer of the party, Ngige replied: “How? In a party that we formed and brought them in? “The man is talking out of ignorance. According to PUNCH, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, read a letter from 13 members of the APC senators declaring their defection from the ruling party to the opposition party. The lawmakers who dumped the APC and defected to the PDP include; 1. Rabi’u Kwankwaso (Kano-Central) 2. Dino Melaye (Kogi-West) 3. Adesoji Akanbi (Oyo-South) 4. Monsurat Sunmonu (Oyo-Central) 5. The orientation exercise for the 2018 Batch ‘B’ corp members on July 24 of The National Youth Service Corps will begin on July 24 to August 13 The NYSC director, Adenike Adeyemi, press and public relations, made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja. “State governments are responsible for providing and upgrading camp facilities,” Kazure said. “Details regarding the conduct of the Stream II edition of the orientation course will be released in due course. I was impressed with what I saw in some states during the last orientation. “Some states ensured on the implementation of the skills acquisition programme, feeding of corps members, camp sanitation as well as the quality of accommodation. “Notwithstanding, the successes recorded, the states faced some challenges which I expect we will chart a way forward.” From The Cable

This was disclosed in a letter to the Senate on Tuesday which was read on the floor during plenary. According to report ,Buhari, implementing a budget of N9.12 trillion for 2018 would be extremely challenging and therefore did not consider it expedient to increase the 2018 budget to accommodate the funds needed for the 2019 General Elections. The president asked the National Assembly to transfer the funds appropriated for the new projects which were inserted in the 2018 budget to cover the sum of N228.8 billion for the elections.
