Akolade Arowolo who was sentenced to death for stabbing his wife to death in 2011, pleads with Gov. Ambode for pardon

Akolade Arowolo, who stabbed his banker wife, Titilayo to death in June 2011, is begging for pardon and a second chance at life under the Lagos State Prerogative on Mercy conferred on Lagos State Governor, Ambode, on the guise that he has reformed.

Akolade was sentenced to death for stabbing his wife 76 times, by an Ikeja high court in 2014.
His pleading came as the Committee on Prerogative on Mercy said that the state will not fail to exercise its prerogative on prisoners, who proved to have been reformed.

Arowolo was among 74 prisoners called out by the committee, led by Professor Oyelowo Oyewo, set up by the governor to review their plea applications.
