“I have memory loss” -Dasuki refuses to testify in Metuh’s trial

Sambo Dasuki on Wednesday said he won’t be able to testify in the ongoing trial of Olisa Metuh, former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP due to ‘memory loss’. Dasuki’s counsel, Ahmed Raji told the court that his client cannot testify at the sitting on Wednesday.

He said Dasuki needs access to “relevant files, records and documents required to refresh his memory of any decisions or actions he took or authorised in the course of his duties”, after spending about two years in DSS custody.

Raji urged the judge to hold on in the course of the proceeding pending the determination of Dasuki’s appeal in the case.
Emeka Etiaba, Metuh’s counsel, agreed with Dasuki’s plea.

Metuh had requested that Jonathan and Dasuki appear as witnesses in his money laundering case.
