Policeman is attacked by two people

The suspect then gets on top of the officer in the shocking footage, believed to be filmed in London
THIS is the shocking moment a policeman is attacked by two people — while gormless bystanders just watch and film it.  Another said: “I am so confused why the other people are not helping the police officer.
“Police are always sacrificing themselves for the community and civilians, they must respect them.
“The person who is doing filming must get more punishment, he is enjoying it and not helping him”.
The Sun has approached the Metropolitan Police for comment. An obese woman leaps on the police officer and appears to choke him
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “An officer was assaulted while making an arrest on 11 may at 18:10 near East Avenue, Hayes.
“The 25-year-old officer was called to a leisure centre after a report of a group causing antisocial behaviour.
“While dealing with this, the officer began detaining a man under Section 50 of the Police Reform Act.
“He was then assaulted by a woman, punched and bitten.
“Other officers then arrived and a man was arrested. A woman made off but was later arrested.
“The officer was taken to hospital and received treated for minor injuries.”
Supt Gary Taylor of Hillingdon Police said: “I’m proud of the restraint displayed by the officer while making the arrest.
“He was faced with hostility from a large crowd on his own, and as you can see in the footage was attacked and bitten.
“He is a dedicated ward officer in Hillingdon Borough. This kind of behaviour against our officers is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
“We have now charged two of the suspects involved. The officer is now recovering with the support of colleagues
